Sober Seventlh Day

                                        Sober Seventh Day 

I had a love for my drink

Few tots down would feel like a king 

Would sit at the bar with tankard of beers 

Klink glasses with friends and howl cheers 

Aftrer dinner sipped and relished some wine 

Cracked silly jokes and had a good time 

Those were good  and carefree bachelor days 

No worry of future thought I will stay happy always 

That was not to be things changed when I tied the knot

From a sober family liquor is bad was her thought 

To curry her favour I went on the wagon and became sober 

Friend found my serious talk boring and stopped coming over 

Life became dull the wife found sober hubby not much fun

Wife relented and said you can drink when friends come

My friend are friends by turns eacd day they come to call 

I have six friends so I drink six days and have a ball

Sober seventh day I spend with my dear wife 

Touch wood together we enjoy blissful life
