Ode to Crossing Guards
We are Oakville Crossing Guard
Job is full of joy and not so hard
Come storm rain or snow
On duty we have to go
Job comes with heavy responsibility
Helping school children cross in safety
Holding the STOP sign high
Middle of the road we bestride
All vehicle halt, kids cross to other side
Safe young smiling face is our cherished reward
We are the Oakville Crossing Guard
